    The goal of Granite Backcountry Alliance is to advance the sport of backcountry skiing in New Hampshire and Western Maine by providing a network of low-impact human-powered backcountry skiing opportunities to the public through the creation, improvement and maintenance of ski glades.

  • Mountain Rescue Service

    The Mountain Rescue Service provides specialized technical teams comprised of world-class guides and climbers who volunteer their time and expertise in the service of hikers and climbers who need assistance, in and around the White Mountains of New Hampshire.

    The team is ‘on call’ 24 hours per day, all seasons, with volunteers being mobilized for a full range of incidents: complicated multi-day and nighttime searches in the depth of winter throughout the White Mountain National Forest; technical rope rescues on the region’s many rock climbing cliffs; swift water rescue assistance; and lift evacuations at area ski resorts.

    POW helps passionate outdoor people protect the places and lifestyles they love from climate change. We are a community of athletes, scientists, creatives, and business leaders advancing non-partisan policies that protect our world today and for future generations.

    New England POW Alliance will host the apres at Ledge Brewing Company on Saturday, February 26, 2022 from 3-5:30pm.

  • Mount Washington Avalanche Center Foundation

    Mount Washington Avalanche Center Foundation is the combination of two historic and critical support groups: Friends of Tuckerman Ravine and the White Mountain Avalanche Education Foundation. Their mission is to support the Mount Washington Avalanche Center by enhancing and expanding avalanche education opportunities, advocating for responsible and sustainable backcountry recreation in New Hampshire’s unique alpine ecosystems, and expanding the reach of US Forest Service avalanche forecasts and messages.

  • Inclusive Ski Touring

    Inclusive Ski Touring is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization focused on getting more people outside by introducing them to the joys of ski touring and split-boarding at little to no cost to the individual. What makes IST unique is the vibrant ambiance and learning environment that further develops participants' knowledge of uphill skiing. Along with this IST facilitates a culture that drives genuine friendships by connecting strangers with like minded individuals who would not otherwise be likely to interact with one another.
