A wide variety of lodging options exist in the Mount Washington Valley. Generally anything in the towns of Jackson, Intervale, Bartlett, and North Conway are very close to festival locations. Before booking, make sure to check maps so you're not too far away from festival locations. Gorham can work as it's close to Pinkham Notch (15 minutes), but it is slightly over 30 minutes to the festival base in Intervale. White Mountain National Forest
The link above will bring you to camping and cabin information for the White Mountain National Forest. The only "local" campground open in the winter is Barnes Field. Barnes Field is close to Wildcat Mountain ski area and Pinkham Notch, but almost 30 minutes to the registration/vendor camp at Ledge Brewing in Intervale, NH.
Backcountry camping is allowed on the White Mountain National Forest, see regulations on the website. The end of Town Hall Road in Intervale, NH has good access to the National Forest.
